Hello to all you denizens of the internet, what some would call the blogoshpere - an unfortunately insipid but accurate title for what has become Web 2.0: the Everyman's internet. There was, at a point, a time when the Internet was a type of, pardon the political term, dumptruck that delivered vast amounts of content (mainly text-based games, shopping, and porn) to unsuspecting and delighted early adopters, with very little active participation of content creation by the majority of end users. The Web reached a more tube-like state when it moved on to the more advanced and program-like sites like Facebook, making it into a form of intercommunication in which the user was more commonly an active participant. Users now add to the content stored on the World Wide Web using their own, unique, desperately personal content (e.g. "Don't Taze Me Bra") and stories.

This short history lesson leads us up to now, when the Internet has become such a simple, idiot-proof self-archiving tool that I find myself also adding to the growing global critique of every one and every thing that has existed or will exist. My generation is one of layabouts and complainers, and it's time to start pointing out our "areas for improvement" as our bosses would call them. No story posted here will be false or embellished, unless I specifically note that I have lied or embellished. I hope to be interesting and informative, and a worthwhile contribution to the writing and critique of my generation. I want to string the Internet on for several dates, or maybe through a loving relationship in order to find myself amongst the bits and bytes input by billions of other people.

Be prepared to read about my life.
Be prepared to read about things that I find funny, but you might not.
Be prepared to hear some bitching.
Be prepared for a carrot in each pocket.
Be prepared for a Texas-sized roast of society at large, ca. 2001-10.
Be confident in yourself, and you will succeed in life.
